About the SIG
The Lone Writer Special Interest Group (SIG) works to provide an avenue of professional education and support to writers who are the sole technical writer for their organization.
The SIG provides active and very supportive email lists for those who lack resources and feedback in their workplace. In addition, it maintain a blog, Solitary Scrivener, and a wiki, Solilowiki.
A lone writer can be any technical writer, often working solo in a small company or as the only writer on a team or specific project in a larger organization. However, all writers are welcome; no one is prevented from joining or asked to leave simply because they are not the sole writer in their workplace.
